This project in Londonderry, New Hampshire, involved the design and installation of a patio and pool deck with a walkway and retaining walls.
Blending an array of geometric shapes, the pool surround links two circular “bubble” designs along with a sweeping walkway that tapers to complete the pool deck. Rectangular bricks meet hexagonal shapes in the blend between the pool deck and walkway areas, while smooth pavers in the sitting area contrast with textured pavers throughout the patio.
Tiered retaining walls were constructed to provide a balanced approach down to the pool area from the side yard. Across the other end of the patio, a second retaining wall separates the grass area and connects to steps for the raised deck.
A striking waterfall was built into the pool deck to add elegant motion to the area.
